Is the office open?
Picard Family Optical is dramatically reducing hours in response to the Shelter-In-Place order. However, as a healthcare practitioner, the office is permitted to remain open as a part of essential services. Please call (734) 446-6889 to see when Dr. Picard will be available this week, as hours are subject to change as needed.
What services are you providing?
If you are experiencing red eye, vision loss (not blurred vision), flashes and/or floaters, broken glasses, or injury, please call to schedule an appointment.
If you are coughing, sick, or have a fever, please contact your PCP.
Those patients who are due for their annual exam should wait until the pandemic has passed before they schedule their appointment.
Dr. Picard will, upon request, grant his current patients a 90 day extension of recently expired contact lens prescriptions to bridge the time delay caused by MI Executive Order 2020-21. Contact lens orders of 2 boxes or more will be shipped to your home at no extra charge.
Why are you staying open?
Dr. Picard refuses to abandon patients who are in need of services. He is doing everything possible to reduce the risks to himself, his staff, and his patients. Furthermore, optometrists are serving the community by reducing the number of routine medical eye cases who need to seek emergency care. The fewer people who need to seek out primary and urgent care for red eyes, etc., the better we can all stay safe and healthy.
